Sarasota's Argentinian Bakery
Handcrafted empanadas, flaky medialunas, and recipes passed down through generations — baked fresh daily in the heart of Sarasota.
Our Story
Our founder grew up in the suburbs of Buenos Aires, where Saturday mornings meant the smell of medialunas filling the house and the whole neighborhood gathering around the kitchen table.
When she moved to Sarasota, she carried those recipes with her — not as nostalgia, but as a promise. Every empanada we fold, every cake we layer, every cup of café con leche we pour is an act of keeping that tradition alive for anyone who craves something real.
We source the finest butter, the ripest seasonal fruit, and the most aromatic coffee. We don't rush. We don't cut corners. And we never stop learning from the techniques our abuelas perfected.
What Makes Us Different
Every empanada is shaped by hand. The repulgue seal isn't just decorative — it's a signature of care that machines can't replicate.
We start at dawn so you taste the result by mid-morning. Yesterday's batch is gone — we don't hold over. That's how fresh it gets.
Our recipes come straight from Buenos Aires — the same ones your abuela would recognize. No shortcuts, no compromises, just honest flavor.
In Argentina, food is shared. Our café is designed for that — whether you're meeting a friend, bringing the family, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a pastry and a good book.
The medialunas here are the closest thing to what I remember from my grandmother's kitchen in Córdoba. I drove across town on a Sunday morning just to taste them again. They didn't disappoint.
